The meeting in Burcharest took place on the 28th October 2008. It was held under CEE ARM umbrella and organized by Valrom Industrie S.L.R. The event took place in the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest, the largest and the oldest technical university, among the most prestigious universities in Romania.
The Bucharest RotoDesign Seminar gathered 25 students from Applied Chemistry and Materials Science Faculty. Aim of the meeting was to promote the rotomoulding process and create a better understanding of rotomoulding technology among the students.
At the beginning of the meeting students could hear a welcoming speech from a representative of Valrom Industrie, Ionel Scirlet, and from Austin Campbell, Director of CEE ARM. Main seminar was presented by an international expert of rotomoulding, Dr. Nick Henwood. The issues discussed during this presentation were preceded by introduction to the rotomoulding process. Later part of the presentation concerned rotomoulding applications and designing proccess for rotomoulding. The presentation was supported by opinions of Farzan Ramezani representing Matrix Polymers. Theoretical part of the event was concluded by questions from the participants which were answered by all the present meeting experts. Later on student were invited to visit the Valrom rotomoulding factory which made the meeting even more attractive and practical.
